I was born in Torun on October 29, 1964. Torun is a widely known academic city, where Nicholas Copernicus was born. The city is famous with its old culture (recently Torun is added to the world heritage list of UNESCO). Here my family live. Another town that I am emotionallny associated with is Gorlice. It is placed in south-eastern region of Poland and is "my second born-city". From here my family has originatted. In the autumn of 1983, I joined the Karol Marcinkowski University of Medical Science in Poznan and graduated in 1989.

Since then till end of 2006, I had been working at L.Rydygier Hospital in Torun Since June 1994 till May 1996 I have been a LAN administrator of our Hospital too. I keep the Domain Names Server for am.torun.pl yet, also server dorota.am.torun.pl named after my wife Dorota - see here too see servers list under my supervision (in Polish only). This is a part of our local network (in Polish only). By profession, I'm interested with cardiology and pulmonology. First of all with a pulmonary thromboembolism, cardiac pacing and clinical electrophysiology. At the same time, I'm a member of The Polish Cardiac Society. To be more precise, I'm an active member of the Working Groups of Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, Cardiosurgery, and Holter Monitoring.

Lately I have got much interest in pulmonary diseases and I've been working on this field. Since February 1997 till June 1997 I was the lecturer of pathology at Medical Trade School in Torun.

I keep in touch with the Nicholas Copernicus University and I lead as Editor-in-Chief list of medical resources, which has access to all Polish and the best world medical links. They are now under reconstruction on service located on WWW of Medical Univeristy in Gdansk I also participate in the first Polish mailing list for physycians lek-med at Military Medical Academy in Lodz. I was a co-editor of GALEN - first polish electronic medical journal. Currently, I'm involved in a development of medical World Wide Webs. Since November, 1995 to January, 1997 I had moderated MedTrial Mailing List (all aspects of clinical multicenter randomized trials in medicine). Now this list has been closed after crash of listserver in Lublin.

The last interesting project prepared by me is "Dorota", (in Polish only) provided for human health saving service joined with mailing list.

Since June, 1997 I have established my possittion as a Member of Computing Committee of Polish Cardiac Society. Nowadays I participate in installing and managing of Polish Cardiac Society - Kardionet new Sun Ultra1 server with cooperation of University Computerisation Team. Except medicine I'm interested with philosophy, first of all - history of idea, computers and cognitive sciences.

Since 1998 I participate to moderate with organized by Dr Adam Poradzisz "LEKARZE" (Polish only) - mailing list grouped Polish physycians living and working in Poland as well as abroad - also in all countries over all world. I'm managing and administrating with server of this list

Since 2000, August I'm official Vice-President of Polish Medical Internet Society

Since 2001, January consultant of great Polish medical portal "Clinika" and member of Advisory Board of Canadian great medical portal "Docguide" edited by P\S\L Research Group.

My wife Dorota is also a physician. She works in a Regional Hospital of Infection Diseases. I have two daughters whose names are Aleksandra and Agnieszka and a son named Jakub.

I have learned English, German and Latin. Now I started learning Spanish I can also speak a little Russian - but Polish is my native language. That's why I'd like to apologize to all those language purists for any mistakes that have been inevitably made in the above text of my biography.
